OUR PARTNERS
The Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregiving (RCI) and Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit organization behind Sesame Street, are teaming up to support caregiving military and veteran families with young children. Together, RCI and Sesame Workshop are delivering targeted Sesame Street resources to families with young children through Operation Family Caregiver.
RCI’s partnership with Blue Star Families, a nonprofit organization that works to strengthen America’s military families through community building, is aimed at learning more about the caregiving taking place in military families. Through Operation Family Caregiver, RCI is an outreach partner on Blue Star Families’ annual Military Family Lifestyle Survey. The survey provides a critical look at the state of military families and puts out a comprehensive report on the experiences and challenges they face. For the 2020 survey, RCI worked with Blue Star Families to add in additional questions about caregivers in military families, and the organizations will be collaborating on an in-depth caregiver-focused report to be released in the Spring of 2021.
RCI and the Military and Veteran Caregiver Network (MVCN), have partnered together to inform military caregivers about the valuable resources provided by both OFC and MVCN. OFC has its own presence on the MVCN platform, where program participants can connect and all caregivers can learn more about OFC. OFC participants should contact their coach for VIP access to join the MVCN community.
RCI is partnered with RallyPoint, a social network for the military community, to provide military caregivers with a space to connect with each other and learn more about Operation Family Caregiver. With over 1.7M members talking about military life, RallyPoint allows service members, veterans, spouses, and other family members of those in uniform to interact with each other and identify helpful resources.
